Hit your friends up when they’re low!

Three years ago my husband and I were going through a separation and struggling with financial issues. One of my friends was really supportive through everything I really appreciated her.One day around Christmas that year I was feeling particularly low, she invited me out for coffee. We got to the coffee shop and she shows up with a bunch of folders. She whips out all of her gear for particular MLM she sells and tells me how all of my financial issues can be solved if I join to sell this product! (Yay...)I declined. She had me fill out some paperwork anyway for WHEN I change my mind. In retrospect I should have said no, but she had been so supportive of me when I was struggling and I felt guilty.Fast forward a few weeks and a box shows up to my house full of this product. She told me this wouldn’t happen. So I started to get charged for this product monthly. I told her to stop it, she said she did, it kept coming etc. I called the company and they finally stopped it but I ended up owing them money. So OBVIOUSLY this did not solve any of my financial issues, but I’m pretty sure she was so desperate to get another person under her and boost herself up in the company a little that she totally took advantage of me. via /r/antiMLM https://ift.tt/2J8rXSB
