Sony showed the first 35 min of “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” today at NYCC, and if the rest of the movie is of the same quality, they have something really special on their hands.

Lord and Miller came out at the beginning of the panel to announce that they were going to screen the first third of the (unfinished) movie for the crowd in attendance.Some animation was unfinished and the score was still temp/demos, but it was honestly incredible. To the point where I’m shocked this is a Sony movie. It is of the quality of the average Marvel Studios film, if not better. When the panel ended and people were discussing it, I heard a lot of people mention the movie wasn’t anywhere on their radar and they were absolutely sold on it.
