Movie news sites are calling this the lowest box office earning summer since 2007 and I can attest how difficult that made FML this season. There are no longer any sure things when dealing with big franchises or kids movies because the saturation is real. When everything is based off an existing property then it no longer becomes the smart play to bank on those properties. This fall should be an interesting season as well. While between summer and awards season is somewhat of a dead zone, there's actually a number of anticipated titles coming soon starting with IT next weekend. This weekend has nothing new but the big releases will be played by everyone this fall so the good stuff is gonna be in the filler and that always makes for good FML!For those of you who aren't a member of the /r/movies Fantasy Movie League, now is a perfect time to join with the new season beginning this Friday! It's a simple concept. You own a fantasy theater and it's your job every week to fill up your eight screens with currently playing movies. Depending on how well the movies are projected to do they will cost different amounts so you must fill your screens while staying within the universal budget of 1,000 FML Bux. You can play the same movie multiple times or leave screens blank at the cost of a small penalty, and there are bonuses for choosing the movie that makes the most per dollar spent and getting the perfect lineup!
