I’m Dylan Reeve, Co-Director of TICKLED, a documentary about "Competitive Endurance Tickling" - AMA!

Hi again Reddit! I’m Dylan Reeve, Co-Director of the Sundance Film Festival selected documentary, Tickled, available now on DVD and Digital HD. I’ll be answering all of your questions about the making of the film and how a single Facebook post launched us into the world of competitive endurance tickling.I'll be here for about an hour from 3:30pm PDT but will try and keep an eye on the comments for the next couple of days also.Order Tickled: https://amzn.to/2HjWDAY http://bit.ly/2YvhpDc https://twitter.com/TickledMovieFacebook: http://bit.ly/2HlBLcG #TickledMovieProof: https://twitter.com/TickledMovie/status/1127672687277436928Fun fact: Today marks the fifth anniversary of our first public announcement that we were making a movie of the weird tickling story we'd been writing about!EDIT: 4:45pm PDT - I've got to do other stuff now, but I'll check back over the next few hours and days, so please feel free to post more! Thanks.Spoiler Warning!Tickled is one of the documentaries that has twists and turns that can be spoiled... we think it's best to go in knowing nothing (we did!)So if you haven't seen the film already, beware that this AMA will likely be spoilerific! Also, if you've seen Tickled but not our short follow-up The Tickle King, you should probably check that out. It's only about 20 minutes and covered a lot of what happened after our film came out.About TickledAfter stumbling upon a bizarre “competitive endurance tickling” video online, wherein young men are paid to be tied up and tickled, reporter David Farrier reaches out to request a story from the company. But the reply he receives is shocking—the sender mocks Farrier's sexuality and threatens extreme legal action should he dig any deeper. So, like any good journalist confronted by a bully, he does just the opposite: he travels to the hidden tickling facilities in Los Angeles and uncovers a vast empire, known for harassing and harming the lives of those who protest their involvement in these films. The more he investigates, the stranger it gets, discovering secret identities and criminal activity. Discovering the truth becomes Farrier’s obsession, despite increasingly sinister threats and warnings. With humor and determination, Farrier and co-director Dylan Reeve summon up every resource available to get to the bottom of this tickling wormhole.About MeI was drawn into this project by David Farrier’s early Facebook musings, and quickly found himself in the middle of a strange and rapidly unfolding tale. Somehow making a documentary about the whole thing just seemed natural. via /r/movies http://bit.ly/2YnXaaC
